Hey lysa, just saw you posted a new story! Can't wait to read it! I was curious though I was checking some of your manips and wondered if you ever thought about writing a "what if" story where C/A don't meet in at the party in episode 1 and instead Cor gets her show and they don't meet until like season 3 of the timeline and Angel is working with Doyle/Wes/Gunn/Fred etc etc. I know it's a wild idea but your manip got me thinking! Anywho I have to go free some time to read your new story so take care and thanks again

Glad my pics/manips can be inspiring. I love reading through challenge ideas. There is usually a fic in there somewhere. I miss the days where I could pop out a new fic every week.

This idea has potential because it would be fun to see how Cordelia would react to her bright new world crossing paths with the old one but, in a way, the show itself took care of that. My feeling is that if Cordelia had not been there in the beginning Angel Investigations would not be Angel Investigations. It might have formed haphazardly and been some unofficial version of itself. If Doyle was still there, I suppose Angel would not have gone crazy with the visions as he did in canon. There would be no Fred. Cordelia would not have been there to get sucked in to Pylea, so Fred would never have been rescued. Oh, the many different ways such a story could spin.

I have too much going on to add anything else at the moment, unless I am spontaneously writing and can't stop, as was the case with my new fic, Conditionally Yours. In addition to continuing to write Season of Solace, I am also in the middle of two fics from my Challenge Lysa thread, one from Luckylyn, and the other from DamnSkippy.

All days and night to follow: My favorite part about this piece is the implied Jenny/Cordelia friendship. I often wonder how those would have gotten along if the writers had made them interact more. And arrghhh... Xander, must I say more. I hated how in the show he acted like a total douchebag when he was the fault. On the Cangl front ?There was just something about her that made him want to protect and cherish her one moment and bring her to an earth-shattering orgasm the next.? may be one of my favorite Cangel lines I read this week.

Hey Lysa whenever you have time I would love if you could write another story focusing on Cordelia's bond with Angelus in that she defends him and supports him against others, and without his soul still sees this great potential in him. Would love to see a slow beginning to their romantic relation that Cordelia decides to pursue in which Angelus doesn't give in so easily because of his predatory nature and inhumane ways but starts to feel different when Cordelia sticks up for him and becomes more than a friend

Lysa, have you ever thought about rewriting the BTVS prom? Or maybe rewrite isn't the best word, like you just wrote an after the episode? Where Angel/Cordy run into each other after the prom and Cordy tells him that she was invited to an after party (none of the scoobies were) and they go together? Lol sorry that idea was just stuck in my head. I had to get it out there! :)

Hi Lysa! I just want to say that I've been reading your fan fiction since, god I think since 2006. I first discovered you on Angel's Oasis (pretty sure that's what it was called). The first story I ever read (and the first piece of fan fiction I had ever read) was Double or Nothing and it continues to be my very favorite piece of fan fiction to this day. Thank you so much for sharing your talent with all of your readers!

11 years! Wow. Can you believe it has been that long? DoN is still one of my faves, too. The basic challenge by Scorch was a great premise, and I enjoyed putting my own twists and turns into it for 50 chapters. LOL. Fifty! I would say that I can look back and see the insanity, but considering Season of Solace is already about that long I don't think I learned my lesson. Thanks for stopping by. Mwah!

Hi Lysa! I've read and re-read Season of Solace, as well as all your other stories, and absolutely love your work. I was thrilled to see more of Season and to hear you will finish it. As real life and other fandoms over the years take my time, I still come back to you and the BtVS/AtS world. I want you to know I will loyally follow your site for updates and try to make a habit of letting you know how much I love the story/stories. Thanks for providing so much fannish reading (and imagining) pleasure.

Wish I could just take the story that's in my head and transfer it directly to the computer. That would be awesome. I need that to be invented ASAP. I am definitely the slow tortoise in this writing race, but I am determined to get it done. Its also great to get a little ego boost now and then, so I have to tell you that I eat up any and all feedback. Thanks for taking the time to leave a note.

Did she or didn't she? I have a feeling Wesley will be hard at work to figure that one out. Assuming they don't test the theory one way or another.

Just read "A night to remember". Haha, Cordy was so smart/evil with the garlic. Can't wait to start the sequel

Enjoy! Scorch wanted Angelus' little lurve bite in a specific spot, so I figured it was only fair that Cordy's revenge bite take it up a notch. LOL.

As you can see, the site looks quite different than it did yesterday. WEBS made some changes which no longer supported the original format, so I have spent the past week updating the site. Hopefully, all of the links are working. If you find something that does not function the way it should, please let me know so that I can correct it.

Now that this update is done, I plan to try to get back to writing. Pleth, Stormy & Lydia...thanks for reading and commenting! I appreciate knowing that you still enjoy my fics. I have most of the next scene for Season of Solace already written, and have two fics from my old 'Lysa Says: Challenge Me' thread in the works.

Geez Lysa, I just read "Because" and I will be rereading this one often. Holy crap, so beautifully written. I adore the way you write Cordy and Angel. It makes me so happy when you go through their thought process, it's exactly what I want them to be thinking :)
You are a very talented writer and I'm thanking my lucky stars that you are still creating masterful and hot stories of my favorite two fictional characters.
Thank you!

Lysa, have you ever thought about doing a fic based off the Halloween episode? Like after Buffy leaves the Bronze and it's just C/A? Or maybe Cordy in the Victorian dress and Angel has to save? Thanks as always keep up the great work.

Ooh! I like the Victorian dress idea. I envision something smutty involving corsets and crinoline. LOL. I may have to twirl that one around in my head for a while. I really need to get back to SoS once I finish my current little side project for October.

Hi Lydia--

Glad to hear that you're enjoying Season of Solace. There is plenty more excitement coming for Angel and Cordelia, along with the revelation of some mysteries. We're now in the last third of the story, so there will be resolutions heading your way for those story threads.

Right now I am working on a little side project for TootynFrooty that I have to get done by the end of this month so it can be ready for October. After that I will return my full focus back to writing Season of Solace.

Thank you for reminding me why I love these two so much! It's been years since I read any angel fics, but reading this one shot aggshdhdhdjdub no words! The characters felt like coming home! I wished that we had more of an insight into Angels thinking and reasoning, and that it was a bit longer (it seemed like you were building up a bigger case there, that could've been cool to read about) but regardless of how short I felt this was (it could've been 300 pages it still would've been too short lol) than you for writing this! Much love

Glad to have you back for a little C/A fun. I can't leave these characters alone. It may take me forever to write something, but I still love it.

It's actually difficult for me to write the short stories. I usually don't know when to quit which is why 'Season of Solace' is already over 300,000 words long.

'Stakeout' is basically Cordelia's POV, so Angel's inner thoughts are hidden from her for the most part. The reasoning behind Angel's attitude toward taking these kinds of cases is actually canon. (I forget which original episode.) Rather than stick to the topic exactly, I took the idea and put my usual twist on it. Although I sometimes write scenes and stories with switching POV, I thought it worked better in this case because in some ways it's a story about a lack of understanding between Cordy and Angel, and being kept in the dark about his thoughts.

What, no NC-17 parts? I blame Lorne, well actually Madame Bosha for arriving when she did. I could easily imagine the Warren, Andrew, and Jonathan going after Connor - great idea! You write the Trio well, especially Warren, who was just the right mix of creepy, sleazy, and disturbing. I really felt for Cordy, thinking that Angel's dead, but unable to process her grief because she has to protect Connor at all costs, and also because she doesn't want to display any weakness or vulnerability in front of the Trio. I love the idea of an invisible Angel being immune to sunlight, and able to see his reflection. So typical of the PTB to take advantage of the fact and increase Angel's missions, and poor Cordy, having to cope with the influx of pain-crippling visions.

I was eagerly anticipating the conversation where Angel revealed the existence of Connor to Buffy, and it didn't disappoint. It was great when Buffy mistook Cordelia for Connor's mother. I enjoyed the Buffy and Spike moments, and your Scooby characterisations, in particular Dawn, were perfect. The scenes with everyone gathered at the Summers House, and the drive back to L.A. were stand-outs for me. A fun read!

With 'Wavelenths' and 'Puzzle Pieces' you have now read my two favorite standalones. It was a challenge juggling all of the characters in this one, but then I seem to do that to myself a lot. ;)

Hey Lysa, I reread Phantom Hand again, have you ever thought about adding Harry to another story? Thought she could've been great in the Fred role for the show.

I did love writing Harry. The Harry/Wes dynamic was a lot of fun. But it never really occurred to me to use her in another fic. I suppose it would have to be something very specific to get her involved. Unless, of course, I just did a short Wes/Harry one-off. (Which I would probably never have time to write anyway, but it's a fun idea.)

Review for Puzzle Pieces

This story was so cute and sweet, and had me smiling from start to finish. I like how you wrote this one entirely from Angel?s P.O.V., and in the first person. It was great to have not only this insight into his private thoughts, but also his feelings for Cordy. Angel running around sabotaging Cordelia's dates was hilarious. I enjoyed how the love scene was reminiscent of WITW right down to the dialogue, except this time there were no ghost between them and they got to finish what they started with no interruptions. And, Connor made it to 11 months-old instead of being ripped away to Quor'toth and returning as a damaged teenager ? yay! Love a happy ending!

Puzzle Pieces is one of my personal faves. I had a lot of fun writing it and enjoyed telling the story from Angel's 1st person POV. Thanks for reading and the feedback!

Review for Threads of Love

This was just gorgeous. It was the perfect mix of fun, sexy, and laugh-out-loud humour. I loved all of Cordelia's seduction games - deliberately dropping the post-it note and bending down to pick it up, displaying copious amounts of flesh at all times, calling attention to her mouth with the coffee, enlisting Fred's help, adding her underwear to his laundry, and of course the sheets. She sure had her work cut out for her but she snagged her man in the end. And when they finally tested those sheets - sizzling hot! Thanks for the smut!

Yes, I am definitely going to continue SOS. My plans for writing a few more DON Bonus Scenes before getting back into gear for SOS have been sidetracked by some family health drama. Hopefully, all will slowly start getting back to normal in the next couple of months.
